So I headed out this morning with a list of homes to view. I got as far as seeing 2 homes before my key card died, but the two homes were right up his alley.
The first home was in the Sabin neighborhood, and the second was in the Hawthorne neighborhood, near Belmont St. which has lots of food, and entertainment, giving it a great walk score of 89. Both homes had energy efficient appliances which this client in particular is looking for.

Minutes from downtown is a small neighborhood, know as the Corbett-Lair neighborhood, Johns Landing, or South Portland. It stretches along the waterfront, from Macadam Ave along the water front, up to Barbur Blvd.  The neighborhood has newer developments along the South Waterfront, and cozy houses along the hillside. What: A surf/snow/outdoor sports shop

Get paid to plant a tree in your yard! Portland Treebate program begins again this year on September 1st and runs through May 1, 2011. The City of Portland wants us all to plant trees to contribute to cleaner streams and rivers and will help with some of the cost. We took a quick trip to Pistils nursery on Mississippi in the Boise Neighborhood to get help picking out and pricing trees. For $50-125ish we found many beautiful trees that are eligible for the program.

The Programs basics:

1. Go to the Treebate Program website and get form

2. Buy a tree that meets the requirements on the form – There’s a list of ineligible trees and some size requirements

3. Plant the little bugger

4. Send in the form with receipts and size of tree planted.

5. If accepted you will receive a credit on your sewer/water bill for %50 of the tree purchase price up to $10-50 depending on how big your new tree will grow.
