South Tabor is a predominately residential neighborhood that sits just south of Mt. Tabor, a now extinct volcano, in SE Portland. Perched atop Mt. Tabor is a very popular park that offers good hiking and biking opportunities along its steep hills. This park is also host to an annual bicycle racing event, a soap box derby, contains tennis courts, and it is also a romantic picnic spot – the views at sunset here can’t be beat. South Tabor also offers a community center and another park, Clinton City Park, to its friendly residents. This neighborhood is close to Warner Pacific College, as well as Powell Boulevard and Division Street, which offer many eating and shopping opportunities.
